Notes
GI left empty for barley malt syrup (USDA Syrups, malt). Crystalline maltose is GI 105 in Atkinson tables, and rice malt syrup was assayed at GI 98 (SUGiRS) — both signal a high-glucose-polymer class, but neither is this product. Secondary charts quoting barley malt syrup ≈42 lack a primary assay.
Empty-over-invention. Related: sugirs-rice-malt-syrup-2013 (GI 98) is rice malt, not barley malt.

Empty cells mean we do not yet have a method-cited source. Rank on the guide tables is the open-rule champion — not medical advice.
